But I had their really good Prime Rib (demand a fresh piece) and several varieties of wonderful giant shrimp, as well as fried chicken. The crab legs which they feature now are really worthless, those skinny ones with little or no meat which take an hour to crack open. Now I have been patronizing this buffet occasionally for many years since it started, and I have to say of course I liked it better at the start when they had genuine lobster on the buffet and the price was, I think, $14.95.
The content varies from night to night, but we were fortunate enough to be there for 'Surf 'n Turf' ($24.95). And anyway, I suspect one reason it wasn't smoky is that fewer people are even smoking ! I have never, ever been able to get a room in their hotel, so I can't comment on that, but I do have strong and mostly positive feelings about their buffet.
In this day and age where smokers are treated like lepers, I kind of liked that reversal of the trend. I am a former smoker, and I can sniff out small traces of smoke, but there was so little here I had to ask for my companion if there was a smoking section, only to be informed the entire casino, except for a small area upstairs, allows smoking. Contrary to much of what I am reading in the reviews, we did not find the busy casino smoky at all.
